Photo of the Day: Old Stone House on Ocean Parkway

This fantastic Eugene Armbruster shot from July 1926 shows a stone house being torn down to make way for more apartment buildings on Caton Ave near Ocean Pkwy.

I couldn’t find any info on it, which makes you think about the nature of historic preservation. If it has been saved somehow no doubt it would be a key historic site in the neighborhood.
